I am not missing that. I understand the difference. I'm saying the economic engine behind trading is still good (investing). So while people don't do the trading as much (machines do it), the economic rewards are still there and we can still capture them. The same may be true in a potential future where software becomes automated.
And, certainly, prob a good thing for some, bad thing for the money conveyor belt of the last 20 yrs of tech careers.
