The idea of an infinite world, at least of buildings and such structures, very much reminds me of the Echo game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i51x6-8GqkA or maybe the Blame! manga or the SCP fandom. It's probably work pretty well for a horror/survival game, or just something built around movement. There was also the Receiver game series, which used pre-built environment blocks that were randomly stitched together and it worked really well for that game.
