Like many I preferred the "internet" before it was this. The War Games-like setups, mystical and empowering, and the wonder of the future, how information would free us, things we could never imagine. All to wind up with people staring at Instagram while driving and running into me and my dog, and the world/companies like Apple and Samsung shoving AI elements down our throats.
So I plan my retirement, and it involves unplugging from all this. Then what? Live in a small cabin in the remote woods? Not sure that would go well.
