It's mad that the line before the one they quote from Musk's tweet was:
> I literally challenged Putin to one on one physical combat over Ukraine
And that's either being ignored to maintain a "view from nowhere" journalistic impartiality or insane ramblings are just an expected part of US foreign policy these days.
I just want to underline how different "middle aged man challenges another middle aged man to a fight then makes excuses" and "oligarch chickens out of an interview" are from "oligarch in one country offers to fight a foreign oligarch that is currently invading a third country amd offering to let them keep this third country if they win, which would be absurdly idiotic even if it was a joke but so much worse if you bring it up later as if it was a serious demonstration of your commitment to the third country"
If accurately reported, this seems unlikely to engender major financial investment in Musk enterprises from European funding sources where Poland has any authority. And you would think normal diplomatic channels would be used by Tusk and others to seek some supportive convergence from the EU majors.
Is it just me or does Musk leap to ad hom rapidly? Also the repetitious quality of "say thank you" lines of reasoning. It's like an attempt to establish "Europe is ungrateful" messages.
Lest I over state it let me ask: isn't Poland an overwhelmingly conservative polity? Isn't this Rubio (who is meant to have some political nous) shitting in the same nest? Musk is (-ad hom time.. ) a man baby with Ketamine fuelled delusions of grandeur. Rubio saw himself as President, was this kind of shit show on his bingo card?
