That's (up to) 128 tons of human food which will be thrown away.

Meanwhile, "Canned Beef Stew" is still #1 on my local food bank's Most Needed Donations list.

Call me a commie - but at some point, it seems reasonable to have "no food production facility may be larger than X" regulations, to limit how large the impact of any one food safety failure could be.
