We Love Our Dogs and Cats. But Are They Bad for the Environment? (nytimes.com)

I seem to get downvoted when my comments don’t meet some people expectations but in any event

The article says Cats and dogs eat lots of meat. So do I. Am I bad for the environment? Compared to all those climate activists flying around , how bad? Compared to emissions from the top 5 countries?

“Moreover, in the United States, most cats and dogs are overweight. So reducing the amount of food those animals are given would be a boon for both pet health and the environment” walk the dog, good for you both.

Let’s keep the food healthy and safe I want my buddy to live a long time.

I pick up his poo. Some people don’t around me.. that’s a societal problem and lack of respect for others.

Jiminy is made from insect protein and meets AAFCO standards so that's one avenue. There's also pet treats made from invasive fish species (Pezzy's) which is a win-win.
