Well, I've heard from from Indian immigrants (to the US) that today's India wouldn't have existed without the British example of bureaucracy. So maybe that, coupled with the caste system and a high reproductive rate, jeopordize the status quo?

With all the money pouring into automation (oh, it's called AI now, sorry) maybe US demand for H1Bs would have dropped off anyways?

I know it's obvious but it seems like a worthwhile discussion.
