I also wonder what kind of mass transit you envision for the vast rural regions that make up half of this country that are spectacularly ill-suited for any known modes of public transit.

Mass Transit only makes sense when there are "masses" of people trying to go to the same general area at any given time.

I am curious though. These services are running in places like San Francisco and Austin. How many of these are operating outside of Bakersfield?
