Well at least we can live in the comfort of knowing that everyone who voted on the bill is aware of everything in it and has definitely read beyond the cover page.
I don't think everyone has, which is concerning. I suspect we'll see some congresspeople remark on how they "never voted for" some aspects of the bill.
Ignorance is not a defense for breaking a law and I do hold my politicians (and hope other voters also hold their politicians) to a similar standard when it comes to passing a bill. Lawmakers exist because we've all got food to put on the table and can't handle the constant effort required to understand the intricacies and implications of legal code maintenance - it's the job they've been hired to do and if they're not doing it they shouldn't have that job anymore.
