They're making a ui to compete with steam game mode, which is already available on windows. They completely miss that the value of steamos is not (just) in that ui, but in the lack of all of the unnecessary junk underneath it.

If Microsoft’s plan for making Windows better for gaming consists of adding features instead of removing them, they don’t understand the problem.
