I enjoy tackling side-projects in my spare time - this keeps my saw sharp and occasionally I create something I like to use. Always happy to pick up new techniques, skills, and languages. Continuous learning is something I strongly believe in.
Have worked on a variety of types of projects: Monoliths, distributed systems utilizing microservices, and (unfortunately) distributed monoliths.

* document store for capturing customer statements billing and archival purposes, using apache jackrabbit, java and kotlin
* rust aws cli client for dev/testing purposes
* Migrating test suite from junit4 to junit5, non-trivial due to inheritance hierarchies.
