I'm pretty nervous about using it now.

That's extremely unlikely to be related to the Stripe checkout widget. International purchases often raise fraud flags.

An international purchase that doesn't ask for the name on your card though? (I know most check as my CC has a weird format, if it's put in wrong it doesn't validate.)
