Good one!

Eh, it has always looked horrible. Non fractional scaling is just too much to ask at this point...but hey look at this tiny toggle element doing this cool liquidy effect wohoo

Only since OS X Yosemite. Then they decided to mess with the font smoothing and it went downhill from there. And no, it wasn't because of Retina, as OS X Mavericks had Retina support and still worked fine on low DPI screens.

HN hug of death

I tried and I really liked so I considered a switch but: - It's missing debugging capabilities. They have it in their pipeline, but, as it stands, not for production use if you do not want to develop with debug prints all the time. - The font rendering still needs some polishing. On a non retina display using a dark mode in mac the fonts are pretty blurry in comparison to vscode, and I had to use a medium weight for the editor font for improved readability.

This is simply is not true. Their "random" algorithm prefers cached songs on the device by quite a margin. I have playlists with more than 500-600 songs in them and can account for it first hand, since I know the songs in the playlist and some seem to never show up.

Do not believe me? Simply clean spotify's cache and look closely at somehow magically new songs start popping up in the shuffle!
